My name is J P Messer & I live in the Scottish Borders with my wife Carol & two young children, the reason for  this turn around in my career, as I don’t think I will be able to lift heavy boxes into my sixties with the job I used to have.  The reason being I’m disabled, with a paralyzed left arm due to an accident 8 years ago, this was probably the natural choice as I love being around computers, & this job hopefully won’t be bad for my health in years to come.

I studied for a web development diploma through The Home Learning College & Stow College in Glasgow & passed with distinction, & I’m now a member of the Association of IT Professionals (ACITP).  I have designed 6 websites so far including this one, mostly it has been for small local businesses, but with a bit of luck in the future I hope to expand into bigger projects, if given the chance.
